My Personal Background
I am a fifth generation Johnson County resident who was born & raised in Cleburne, Texas.
After graduating from Cleburne High School I furthered my education at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Education and became certified to teach school. However, I only taught for one year before starting law school.

I attended St. Mary’s University School of Law. Upon graduation, the Bexar County District Attorney appointed me as an Assistant District Attorney. I prosecuted numerous criminal cases and tried many cases either before a jury or a judge. I presented cases to the grand jury and also represented the State of Texas in many pre-trial hearings and hearings on motions to suppress. I was eventually named to a task force that prosecuted offenses involving driving while intoxicated, including misdemeanor and felony offenses, and cases where injuries or deaths were involved.

In 1995, I entered the private practice of law in Cleburne, Texas. Over the last eleven years I have practiced in a broad range of areas. I have tried cases in family, juvenile, civil, criminal, and personal injury matters, and I have had assisted many clients with probate matters as well. I have represented clients during many mediations and worked with clients to resolve their cases as efficiently as possible.

In 2006 I opened my own firm, Mary C. Davis Attorney at Law. I plan to continue practicing in the areas mentioned above and look forward to serving your legal needs.
